Then, if they print in B&W, and print another document, the color mode is in B&W by default. Now, when they print from Chrome, they can print in color or in B&W from the Chrome print preview.īut the issue is that when they choose "color", then, print another document from Chrome, it's by default in color mode : it's like Chrome keeps in memory the last used setting. I found someting to change from the print server, on the driver, in the advanced settings: It's like Chrome does not override the printing defaults. The issue is that when they print from Chrome, if they choose "color print", the result is in B&W. We want our users to print in B&W but to be able to print in color by changing the setting in the print dialog box in all the applications, or in "print preview" when they are using Chrome. I'm posting a question here because we can't find a suitable solution for our need.Īll our printers are installed on a printing server, and they are in B&W by default, deployed by a GPO.
